GROM is a safe social networking app for kids, and I played a key role in building the brand and technology from the ground up. Starting with the web platform in 2012, I helped guide the company's evolution, including rebranding efforts and the development of a mobile app featuring AR and 3D characters. As the company grew, I managed and directed numerous creative processes, ensuring the brand remained innovative and engaging for its young audience.

REBRANDING
The GROM brand had to be fun for kids, not to young. It also had to give a safe feeling to parents but not feel to parent driven to kids.
[ APPLICAITON DESIGN ]
APPLICATION
The idea with GROM app was to make it cool for kids but feel safe for parents. We designed a AR feature where kids create their 3D avatar of themselves, take a selfie with the AR avatar head for their site avatar and use their animated character as their profile home screen. Along with all the general short form video social networking functions.
